About

OAK Brands commissioned me to create a logo generator for their identity.
Reflecting the ever-changing nature of creative briefs and demands, OAK wanted to express this variety in a logo that would be different each time. The premise was to have the name of the company spelled out using several cells or dots, which would be placed differently on each iteration of the logo, thus representing the congregation of different perspectives and people into a common identity.
However, some control over the visual elements would be necessary, not just a simple random generator. For this purpose, i came up with a desktop application where one can fine-tune each logo's features -- colours, density, transparency and general positioning rules.
Shoebot was used as the graphics generation backend, whereas the user interface was built on top of Batch Commander.
